“Love’s Fashion”

July 18th, 2018 - Maplehurst Apartments

At ease and more in tune

Are the words I’d use to describe these days and moods

More drunk; as per usual

Too many, too far to lost

But to grow has at least a cost

What’s bitter binds at times

And some of what we don’t consider casts a longer more tinder friend

To our more tattered worn out minds

To think can be costly

And expenses often can ruin

What the body might muster up an offer to barter for at times

Those two unnamed players

Who shared their paired cares

Found an affair

Far too costly

To fair any sort of

Repaired consonance

Now one weeps

While the other repeats

The defeats of his partner’s

Past failed passions

Whoever knows what love fashions
